I graduated from Youngstown State University in 2001 and have worked as the General Manager of a country club for the past 8 years. During that time I started an event planning business and continue to operate that business while pursuing my master’s degree. I hope to teach Hospitality students in the future, and to continue to further my knowledge of the industry.

I currently work at the KSU student center in operations and conference bureau, planning events. I hope to work at a convention center or a resort planning events after graduation.

Vanessa Kurtzman, Senior in Hospitality Management, Vice President
I plan on graduating in December of 2010. I currently work at the front desk at The Bertram Inn and Conference Center. Upon graduation I would like to be an event planner in the convention or entertainment industry.

Adrian Lewis, Senior in Hospitality Management, Secretary
I am an honors student with an expected graduation date of May 2010. I have completed internships through the American Hospitality Academy and the Disney College Program. I am currently a Disney Campus Representative at Kent State University. Upon graduation, I plan to complete a Disney Professional Internship and eventually work in front office or restaurant management.

Joel Morales, Senior in Hospitality Management, Publicity Chair
I am graduating in December of 2010. I have worked at the Hampton Inn and interned with Campus Crusade for Christ doing convention planning. After graduation I would like to continue working in the convention/event planning industry.

Lia Arbogast, Sophomore in Hospitality Management
This is my first year in PCMA and I plan on graduating in May 2012. After graduating I hope to be an event planner focusing on weddings or any type of fundraising event. I would like to move back home to Washington, DC or live in Pittsburgh, PA and work in one of these cities.

I am graduating in May of 2010. I have had experience in the hotel business because of my internship at the Hilton Garden Inn in Twinsburg as a guest service agent. I would like to work as an event planner when I graduate.

Over Summer 2009, I participated in an internship at Kalahari Resorts. I plan to graduate Spring 2011 and hope to pursue a career in event coordination.

Ivy Lumpkin, Sophomore in Communication Studies
My goals are to attend grad school and become an event and/or wedding planner. I am most interested in business development, event management and communication. I look forward to studying abroad!

Yolanda Oster, Senior in Hospitality Management
I will be graduating in May 2010. I plan on working in the event planning area of the industry. I am interested in working at a country club but I would also like to branch out and get experience in a hotel/resort or an independent company.

Ashley Randles, Junior in Hospitality Management
I will be graduating December 2010 with a Hospitality Management degree. I plan on getting a job at either a hotel or resort and want to relocate to the south. Experiences I have are my internship with Raffel's catering, serving at a family owned business and various other jobs dealing with sales and customer relations.

I currently am a server at Bellacinos Bistro in Stow. In the future, I hope to plan fairytale weddings for Disney.
